For those who are bothered by trying to regularly hide the incessant hair growth in certain body parts, “How much is laser hair removal?” must have crossed your minds. Hair is something that’s natural in humans, and mostly it’s there for protection (i.e. eyebrows and eyelashes protect your eyes from dirt particles) and heat regulation (i.e. the hair on your head actually protects it from extreme cold). However, hair can also be found in the most inconvenient parts of the body. For men and women alike, this unwanted hair has to be ever so often removed, in a variety of ways.
Shaving is probably the most common hair removal method. Armed with a razor, expert strokes can cut the tiniest strands of hair and say goodbye to it – temporarily. Temporarily here is the key word, because depending on how fast your hair grows, shaving won’t actually do much. It will grow again, sometimes faster than you expect. The problem with shaving is that it sometimes causes bumps, nicks, and ingrown hairs. More importantly, because the hair grows back so fast you have to do it all over again. People have tried plucking as well, but it produces the same (if not worse) results.
Then there’s waxing. Hair is subjected to wax strips, and with one deft pull the hair gets pulled with it. The key word here is pull. No matter how fast and how deft the pulling is, it’s still pulling, so it’s still painful. Hair removal from waxing actually lasts longer than shaving, and for a time you’re as smooth as a baby and happy. But again, the hair grows back, and you have to remove it again. Unlike shaving, which comes with disposable razors you can easily buy off a supermarket shelf, to do waxing properly you actually have to schedule a session. There are wax strips available, at your own risk. However, waxing is more expensive than shaving.
No matter what method you try, the hair simply won’t go away. It’s as stubborn as a mule, and has caused you so much inconvenience. You’re just about to give up, when suddenly, you hear about laser hair removal. Lasers have been used for many things. It has been used to correct eyesight, but now it can be used to remove hair and keep it away – for a long time, and for a big percentage of it, even permanently. In other words, it’s what you’ve been waiting for. Now you can wear those tank tops without having to worry if hair is growing under your arms. Now you can show off a clean bikini line when you walk down the beach on a hot summer day, without having to worry about anything. Those skirts you’ve been hiding in your closet can be brought out once more. Finally, the stubborn hair that has annoyed you for so long has now met its match, one that’s just as stubborn and one that will fight it head on. Naturally, it will probably cost you more than your average razor or waxing session. But in hair removal, just like in life, you get what you pay for.

Human Body – What is the Human Body Made Of?
You have most likely heard the old adage “sugar and spice and everything nice”. But that is obviously not true. So what exactly is the human body made of?
The human body is made of fat, water, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. When you step on a scale, on average 60 percent of your body’s weight is water, 20 percent is body fat (slightly lower percentage for a man) and 20 percent is a combination of protein, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and other naturally produced biochemicals. A very easy way to remember this formula is to think of it as the “60-20-20″ rule. 60 percent water, 20 percent fat, 20 percent protein and other nutrients.
Based on the above body percentages, you can rationally expect that the average 140 pound person’s body weight would consist of about 84 pounds of water, 28 pounds of body fat and 28 pounds of protein, minerals, carbohydrates and vitamins. However these numbers are not a perfect formula and may vary from person to person. For instance, a older person would generally have less muscle and more fat than a younger person.
There are differences between men’s and women’s body compositions. More of a women’s body weight will come from fat and more of a man’s body weight will come from protein and calcium. For a man, protein crammed muscles and mineral crammed bones have denser tissue than fat. When you compare the weight of a man and women who are roughly the same size and height, the man is likely to weigh more each and every time.
